Hey @WG-triage meeting time

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:02):

thank you for all the efforts, first of all would like to officially welcome @LeSeulArtichaut to the triage-team.

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:03):

given that they are already involved with a few teams, they'll be mostly doing "ad hoc triage" on the weekends instead of a scheduled slot and will be helping me with the reports and reassignments if possible

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:04):

looks like we don't have much on the agenda today, so let's start with some feedback, anyone has anything to update about the triage efforts in the last month?

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Sep 02 2020 at 16:04):

Sorry for missing my last few slots - school has been starting to get ready to start

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:05):

no worries

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:06):

we discussed this last time as well but let's do this again, so we are now following the original schedule right/

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:07):

is everyone okay with this schedule or do you want to switch places for this month?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:09):

okay i'm assuming everyone is fine with that

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Sep 02 2020 at 16:10):

I thought I was Thursday?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:11):

we switched you back temporarily and we were going back to the original schedule (sat) as planned

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Sep 02 2020 at 16:11):

Ah right, ok

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:11):

if you prefer Thursdays, not a problem

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Sep 02 2020 at 16:11):

Saturdays work better now

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:12):

ok. we'll stick the original schedule then (the one above)

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:13):

moving on - the detailed reports are good and gives me enough insight into how the triage process is going on  so if you want, feel free to put as much information in the reports it's not a concern for me :stuck_out_tongue:

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:14):

anyone has anything to add for today?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:15):

i guess that's it for today then. Thanks for all the effort

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:15):

the next meeting will be on

view this post on Zulip John Simon (Sep 02 2020 at 16:16):

Should we ignore MIR PRs during triage?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:16):

like which ones?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:16):

no, don't ignore them

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:17):

in cases liek the pr i linked you earlier, the conflicts last week were in mir files and not in the codefiles

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:17):

(there are few more confliicts since then which are in source but those came up yest i think)

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:18):

which is why there was a "label changing game" going on because even though they were conflicts, the conflicts were in in mir files and the reviewer is fine reviewing them with those conflicts (these are special cases and mostly the author will suggest )

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:19):

for those unaware, we are talking about https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/72632

view this post on Zulip John Simon (Sep 02 2020 at 16:19):

oh I see it - *.mir instead of *.rs

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:19):

yep

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:19):

there are few .rs conflicts now though but don't worry

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:20):

any other concerns?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Sep 02 2020 at 16:21):

then that's it for the meeting. Thanks everyone for attending
