hey @WG-triage, the meeting this month will be held at . I've sent out calendar invites, if you haven't received or wish to subscribe out of the invites or the meetings in future, you can let me know.

The agenda for the meeting is https://hackmd.io/DZ2q4BlpRkSyf4RUxtil9g and members are free to add items to the agenda to be discussed.

(forgot to check the title when sending out the invites, so it may have the wrong one at first, fixed later)

react with  if you are around :stuck_out_tongue:

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:03):

this is going to be a short meeting as not much to be discussed

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:04):

last month we had changed the schedule because @Owen Salter wasn't available to triage on Saturdays, and given that they are not around today

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:04):

we will stick to the same schedule till the next meeting (same schedule as july)

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Aug 05 2020 at 16:04):

Hi I'm here sorry

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:04):

oops :grinning:

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:04):

no worries

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:05):

do you want to stick to the new schedule or go back to the older one?

view this post on Zulip Owen Salter (Aug 05 2020 at 16:05):

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:07):

let this week continue as usual since we are halfway through to avoid confusion

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:07):

if anyone wants to shift dates, you can let me know we can arrange accordingly

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:08):

moving on...

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:09):

anyone has any feedback or concerns to bring up?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:11):

just a reminder, if you skip any prs, better to put it in the report as well, it makes it easier to know what's been triaged or not

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:12):

the last point on the agenda -

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:12):

so we have issues that are claimed are users via the bot: https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/assigned/rustbot

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:12):

now sometimes people claim issues and haven't worked on them for a while but the "claim" remains so others can't pick it up

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:15):

so if a user has claimed it, and there is no pr after 2-3 weeks, you can ping them asking if there's an update and if not you can unclaim the issue (via the bot)

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:15):

we don't need to do this every day, so if 1 person does it every week that should be sufficient

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:15):

any volunteers? :stuck_out_tongue:

view this post on Zulip Alex Macleod (Aug 05 2020 at 16:16):

I can do that

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:16):

you can do it in batches per week as well, not an issue

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:17):

do you have any questions regarding it?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:17):

you can ask them for updates, and then the next week when you triage those again, if they have replied you can unclaim or ignore it accordingly

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:18):

this is in cases only where there isn't a pr made against the issue by the author

view this post on Zulip Alex Macleod (Aug 05 2020 at 16:18):

Yeah I think I'll do it like so. Don't have any questions (yet)

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:20):

cool.

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:20):

you can skip triaging pull requests if you don't have the time to do both. that's fine

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:20):

so that's the end of the agenda, anyone wants to bring up any issue?

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:21):

the agenda doc will remain the same for all our meetings, so if you have anything during the month you wish to discuss, you can open a thread here or add it to the agenda

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:23):

unless something changes last minute, our next meeting will be on 02.09.2020 at same time. The invites are recurring so you should have it on your calendars :grinning:

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:23):

i think that's it for today. Have a safe month

view this post on Zulip DPC (Aug 05 2020 at 16:23):

and thanks for all the work
