Topic: Rescheduling check-ins

@WG-ffi-unwind I'd like to keep having regular check-ins while the RFC progresses, but wg-governance meetings have now been scheduled over our previous slot. Would we like to keep our check-ins biweekly on Thursdays and just push them back a week to re-sync with the governance meetings? Or would we like to reconsider the time slot?

Also, Niko, should I be attending lang team meetings while the RFC is labeled I-nominated?

that works for me

as for attending meetings, you're welcome to, at least for the beginning where we do check in on active efforts

@WG-ffi-unwind I didn't actually reschedule the biweekly check-ins yet to avoid conflict with the governance wg, but the new schedule would be to have a meeting next week and biweekly thereafter.

Does anyone have any remaining concerns/requests/etc for the RFC now that it's in FCP?

no concerns here; I'm excited to see it moving along :tada: I am also good with the new schedule for check-ins

I'm good

I think we should take a short break after the RFC is merged -- though we'll also want to see it implemented

view this post on Zulip nikomatsakis (Jul 09 2020 at 21:44):

Maybe @Amanieu wants to :) I'm curious @acfoltzer whether anyone from Fastly would be interested in taking a crack at it, too

view this post on Zulip nikomatsakis (Jul 09 2020 at 21:44):

but I bet we could mentor someone through it readily enough

view this post on Zulip nikomatsakis (Jul 09 2020 at 21:44):

in any case, I'd like to take a bit of a break, but I think we should go on to tackle this longjmp thing

oooh, I think I have someone in mind. (cc @Aaron Turon)
