Hey @Santiago Pastorino -- so this hackmd has a rough description of what I want. I should open a PR with my changes to the lang agenda that I have so far, which already do things like create sections (instead of bullet lists) for each issue.
I might also use similar extensions to this tool (at some point...) to allow people to leave specially formatted persistent comments that will appear int the summary of the issue
e.g., instead of scraping every comment, perhaps scrape every comment that begins with "Triage: XXX" or something
hmm I like that:)
I'm thinking now of how the compiler team has those little summaries
we could potentially post them into the issue itself...
:+1:, gonna talk with the interested people on our meetup here
btw, LOL at your example in the HackMD
@nikomatsakis let me tell you that what you wrote there is completely far from reality :joy:
cc @Alejandro Leiton who was one of the persons that was interested in helping with things :)
Hi everyone, nice to meet you
@Alejandro Leiton hi :)
Hi, @nikomatsakis @Santiago Pastorino , how should we start the requests on the triagebot? Let me know, I'm checking the doc that you attached.
@Alejandro Leiton I'd leave that question up to @nikomatsakis since I don't exactly know the requirements but once you have a clear idea on what it's needed count with me to help you with the implementation
@Alejandro Leiton what do you mean by "start" :)
I'm kind of new here so not sure how is the work-flow, a catch-up would be great to have some context.
I pull https://github.com/rust-lang/triagebot and currently I'm checking the set-up.
@Alejandro Leiton with triagebot you can automate things when certain github events happen and also you can even interact with Zulip, Niko wants to scrap comments from issues
Let’s just start with “all comments since the last scrape”
@nikomatsakis how have you envisioned to do this?, I'm not sure what would be a good way to make this happen
I meant, we need to store somewhere what was the last scrapped comment
or either a db or we need triagebot to leave a comment saying scrapped up to here or something that we can parse to keep track where we are
I would probably go for storing a marker in the database, we already have one so it shouldn't be too hard.
