I tried to search for "coz" and it didn't show any results, despite a conversation actually existing. Searching for "coz-profiler" gave 0 results either.
Is there any condition to be satisfied to be able to hit something with a search? Or is the search index not working as intended?
Odd, searching for "coz" and "coz-profiler" worked for me. I did have to delete the pre-filled text in the search query text box (in this case, the prefill was "stream:zulip") in order to generalize the search to go across all streams. What did your search query text box look like, did it have any other content besides "coz" or "coz-profiler" ?
@pnkfelix I can also reproduce this. You can see I'm subscribed to the the stream mentioned but I only see this topic. Screenshot-2019-10-01-at-11.25.10.png
I guess file a Zulip bug?
It certainly seems to me like a bug, at least
it might be good to somehow snapshot the current working state of Zulip's various files, so that you can do experiments with e.g. clearing caches and whatnot. But I don't know enough about Zulip's inner workings to advise on how to do that.
This is interesting. I’ve not seen anything like that happen before. Could you confirm that you’ve not muted the relevant stream or topic in the stream? - I don’t know if that would make a difference. I’d file a Zulip bug (if you mention it’s from the rust community then they’ll label it as such)
I do not have any notification settings override. (The only thing is that I have subscribed to wg-self-profile only recently.) I will file a bug when I have time unless you beat it to me.
(i'm not prepared to file a bug since I have not replicated the problem. Or maybe that was directed at @XAMPPRocky ; but in any case, yes I do recommend you file a bug.)
