Topic: Could bot be setup to repost team changes to Zulip?

Hello, i personally don't visit rust home page very often. When there's a team-level change, like new member added to team or something. It could take days or weeks before i get to know that... While for T-release/wg-triage work, it's necessary to know who's on team and who's not.

I wonder if it's better to just set up bot to repost these changes to Zulip as announcements or something.

Hmm, seems unfortunate to force people doing triage to memorize a list of team members. I wonder if we could make "please don't ping me" a tag instead, or something.

(I'm also all for celebrating new team members in more places.)

@Charles Lew would watching the rust-lang/team repo work?

view this post on Zulip Charles Lew (Jun 19 2021 at 11:21):

That repo is low-activity and it's hard to notice...There're a lot more notifications incoming from the main rust-lang/rust repo.

Basically i've given up reading github notifications at all lol.

@Charles Lew you can filter notifications by repo if it helps

Actually I was seeking to make "Rust Project"-related things more central to one place, if that doesn't make a lot churn... To me currently this central place is now https://rust-lang.zulipchat.com . It would be nice if i don't need to look elsewhere... For rust things.
