@WG-prioritization/alerts issue #79438 has been requested for prioritization.

Procedure

Hameer Abbasi (Nov 26 2020 at 13:35, on Zulip):

Segfault while compiling due to stack overflow, working code in the wild. This one is working on beta, but the user wants a backport. Is this even a job for wg-prioritize? Should it be passed on to the release team for a backport?

Joshua Nelson (Nov 26 2020 at 14:14, on Zulip):

yeah this is a question for release team

Joshua Nelson (Nov 26 2020 at 14:15, on Zulip):

@T-release what's the procedure here?

Jonas Schievink (Nov 26 2020 at 14:16, on Zulip):

I don't think we're gonna do a stable release

Jonas Schievink (Nov 26 2020 at 14:16, on Zulip):

But if so, there's at least 2 other backports we should get in

Jonas Schievink (Nov 26 2020 at 14:17, on Zulip):

What would have to be backported to fix this?

Pietro Albini (Nov 26 2020 at 14:17, on Zulip):

please add stable-nominated to all PRs that could benefit being included in a beta point release

Jonas Schievink (Nov 26 2020 at 14:19, on Zulip):

@Joshua Nelson This is an issue, it can't be backported

Joshua Nelson (Nov 26 2020 at 14:20, on Zulip):

oh, I should find the PR that fixed it instead?

Jonas Schievink (Nov 26 2020 at 14:20, on Zulip):

yeah

Joshua Nelson (Nov 26 2020 at 14:21, on Zulip):

I'm going to remove I-prioritize since I don't think this is really in scope for the WG

triagebot (Nov 26 2020 at 14:22, on Zulip):

Issue #79438's prioritization request has been removed.
