Topic: I-prioritize #77359 Segfault when debugging an enum

triagebot (Sep 30 2020 at 14:30, on Zulip):

@WG-prioritization/alerts issue #77359 has been requested for prioritization.

Procedure

Hameer Abbasi (Sep 30 2020 at 14:35, on Zulip):

Since it's happening in real code, I'd suggest P-high or P-critical.

lcnr (Sep 30 2020 at 14:38, on Zulip):

looks P-critical to me

apiraino (Sep 30 2020 at 14:38, on Zulip):

The repro provided warrants a P-critical imo

triagebot (Sep 30 2020 at 14:39, on Zulip):

Issue #77359's prioritization request has been removed.

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:39, on Zulip):

Yeah let's go for P-critical

DPC (Sep 30 2020 at 14:39, on Zulip):

done

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:39, on Zulip):

Wesley Wiser is in control anyway, so we don't need to ping anyone

DPC (Sep 30 2020 at 14:40, on Zulip):

for clarification, they are disabling the optimisation, not sure if it solves the problem or not  but i guess should be good enough

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:41, on Zulip):

I believe it won't solve the problem, just make sure it never hits stable

Wesley Wiser (Sep 30 2020 at 14:41, on Zulip):

I'll leave the issue open to track the bug but it won't be a P-critical or a regression-stable-to-x at at that point.

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:42, on Zulip):

@Wesley Wiser I guess if you can file a PR today we can add it to the agenda to approve the backport tomorrow?

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:42, on Zulip):

Oh wait nvm it 's a nightly regression

Wesley Wiser (Sep 30 2020 at 14:42, on Zulip):

Yeah, it's still disabled by default on beta. We're trying it on by default in nightly to catch issues like this.

DPC (Sep 30 2020 at 14:43, on Zulip):

ye we can re-prio it after that

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 14:44, on Zulip):

As requires-nightly so probably P-medium I guess

Right. It's cool we caught it early then :)
