Topic: I-prioritize #77361 Compilation succeeds on stable, but not…

triagebot (Sep 30 2020 at 11:10, on Zulip):

@WG-prioritization/alerts issue #77361 has been requested for prioritization.

Procedure

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 11:11, on Zulip):

Prioritized this one because it is a potential regression

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 11:13, on Zulip):

And if it’s not we can close it right away

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 11:15, on Zulip):

@lcnr maybe you know if there’s been a recent bugfix that would have voluntarily prevented this to compile and if it should compile in the first place?

lcnr (Sep 30 2020 at 11:15, on Zulip):

I don't think we care too much about things like this as the async block can't be used in constants.

We should still try and find out if this is intentional though

lcnr (Sep 30 2020 at 11:16, on Zulip):

pinged ecstatic-morse as they might have an idea on what has changed here

lcnr (Sep 30 2020 at 11:17, on Zulip):

so maybe P-medium until we figure oout what's going on here

Hameer Abbasi (Sep 30 2020 at 11:25, on Zulip):

I'm bisecting this right now.

Hameer Abbasi (Sep 30 2020 at 11:35, on Zulip):

@lzutao Beat me to it, but @lcnr's hunch is correct. #76850 is @ecstatic-morse's PR.

Labeled as P-medium, but kept I-prioritize so that it can re-prioritized once we know what's up.

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 16:40, on Zulip):

@Camelid I think we should add I-prioritize then so we ping the group again

Camelid (Sep 30 2020 at 16:41, on Zulip):

Okay, I'll remove it for now.

triagebot (Sep 30 2020 at 16:41, on Zulip):

Issue #77361's prioritization request has been removed.

LeSeulArtichaut (Sep 30 2020 at 16:46, on Zulip):

I’ll subscribe to the GitHub issue though
