Topic: #80899 Transmute doesn't work on arrays of generic types

triagebot (Jan 11 2021 at 04:20, on Zulip):

@WG-prioritization/alerts issue #80899 has been requested for prioritization.

Procedure

Camelid (Jan 11 2021 at 04:21, on Zulip):

This behavior seems very weird. I figured I would prioritize to see if it's a bug or not?

Yuki Okushi (Jan 12 2021 at 11:47, on Zulip):

just read #61956 a bit, we don't have to prioritize it and can even close as duplicate, I think?

lcnr (Jan 12 2021 at 11:53, on Zulip):

that issue is unfortunate, intentional and will be fixed either by project safe transmute or const evaluatable bounds

lcnr (Jan 12 2021 at 11:54, on Zulip):

yeah, closing as duplicate seems fine to me

triagebot (Jan 12 2021 at 12:08, on Zulip):

Issue #80899's prioritization request has been removed.
