triagebot (Oct 19 2020 at 17:25, on Zulip):

@WG-prioritization/alerts issue #78113 has been requested for prioritization.

Procedure

Camelid (Oct 19 2020 at 17:26, on Zulip):

compile -> error

Camelid (Oct 19 2020 at 17:26, on Zulip):

I'm not sure if we consider this a "regression" or not given that this is a nightly feature, but I wanted to check that this is an intended change.

lcnr (Oct 19 2020 at 17:30, on Zulip):

I don't think we care about nightly features

Camelid (Oct 19 2020 at 17:31, on Zulip):

So this is an expected change from compile pass to compile fail?

lcnr (Oct 19 2020 at 17:33, on Zulip):

i think this is a bug and we should accept this code

lcnr (Oct 19 2020 at 17:35, on Zulip):

but wg-prioritization does not need to - or even should imo - prioritize bugs issues which can not affect users which don't use any unstable features afaik

Camelid (Oct 19 2020 at 17:38, on Zulip):

Yes, I agree. I just wanted a way to check if this is an intended change.

triagebot (Oct 19 2020 at 17:38, on Zulip):

Issue #78113's prioritization request has been removed.

DPC (Oct 19 2020 at 19:30, on Zulip):

most likely will be fixed as a side effect of something else being implemented

Basically if it needs a nightly compiler (nightly feature, -Z flags, etc...), we can't consider it a regression-from-stable-to-* because it hasn't reached stable yet.
