Topic: I-prioritize #71612 Compiler panic during build of `dispatch

triagebot (Apr 27 2020 at 15:29, on Zulip):

@WG-prioritization issue #71612 has been requested for prioritization.

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 15:58, on Zulip):

Given how quickly it was found out, because it is used in real-world code, I'd say at least P-high

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 16:11, on Zulip):

If it only affects MacOS and iOS I don't think it is critical, so I think P-high would be good

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 16:36, on Zulip):

I think we should ping the cleanup crew to find an MCVE

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 16:37, on Zulip):

As Jonas Schievink pointed out:

It looks iOS-specific because dispatch wraps an iOS-specific API. Would be good to find an MCVE.

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 27 2020 at 19:21, on Zulip):

agree to go with P-high

triagebot (Apr 27 2020 at 19:21, on Zulip):

Issue #71612's prioritization request has been removed.

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 19:22, on Zulip):

@Santiago Pastorino Should I also ping the cleanup crew?

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 27 2020 at 19:23, on Zulip):

yes

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 27 2020 at 19:23, on Zulip):

well in this one to do what?

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 19:23, on Zulip):

Find an MCVE

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 27 2020 at 19:23, on Zulip):

ahh ok, yes makes sense

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 19:24, on Zulip):

Jonas Schievink fears that this appears to be only for MacOS and iOS because of this specific crate

LeSeulArtichaut (Apr 27 2020 at 19:24, on Zulip):

It looks iOS-specific because dispatch wraps an iOS-specific API. Would be good to find an MCVE.

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 27 2020 at 19:25, on Zulip):
