@CreepySkeleton This commit was not ported when I made my previous PR for clap_derive. https://github.com/TeXitoi/structopt/commit/8068f96c47315c5c81b54962251972175c57fa03
I couldn't understand it correctly at that time. Could you do it after clap_derive is merged into clap?
Well, I'm not really sure that we should pull paw
into clap_derive since it looks like almost nobody uses it
I was talking about commits that had being landed into structopt since your importing PR
Also, there are two more PR that are supposed to be reviewed by @TexItoi first.
Yup, we will import them once we have our call next week
What times are you free from Wednesday? I will be in CET
Well, it's basically no time I'm completely free, but I guess I'll be able find and hour here, half hour there and so on somewhere between 8AM and 6PM CET
Hey @pksunkara , Ill be here at 8PM CET, it looks like a good time for you
Yup, it is. Meet you then
Let's chat on jitsi when you are ready. https://meet.jit.si/pksunkara
 @pksunkara
AFK 1min
So waht do we do about clap_derive?
I'm wondering if these are things that would be good to also discuss on the mailing list (are you subscribed to it)
Yes, we both are
We were discussing the status of clap and roadmap for it
in private messages
clap 3 beta is pretty close I think
I see
The official-ish date is "the end of the month". Whatever it means.
Btw, clap-rs is now under CLI wg, right?
Not really. A bunch of us have commit bit (dylan and me I think?), but it's still the clap orga
I guess I'm worried about splitting the chat like this for a rather small group and making it a bit awkward for everyone to keep up on everything
(vis a vi zulip)
@spacekookie totally agree!
There's a matrix integration in zulip
It combines both the chats
Wait there is?
Also I sent an email to the ML, have you received it? It contains a very poorly written story about GIFT
Regarding clap-rs org, I agree it's still in different org and we should keep it like that, but I would say it's like subsidiary of cli wg
I'm not sure I got it @CreepySkeleton
What's your email?
Any particular reason to not move it to cli-wg?
And you clearly haven't :frown:
It's better to keep it separate since it's big project
@CreepySkeleton Nope, notmuch can't find an email :(
@spacekookie hmm ,is is supposed to work at all? me sending email to ML?
Wanna send a test email? @CreepySkeleton
It should, others have
We should setup a public archive
Yeah, public archive should be top priority
I did
Got the message
I resent the message
the story
Replied :P
Also, we'll have an archive soon. My gf hosts archives for a bunch of lists (including the main project that I work on)
The archive is a Cool Thing.
@pksunkara I fail to see how the size of the project can affect its ability to moved to another organization
@CreepySkeleton I guess it has more to do with social relationships, and stuff
Also, you'd be surprised how many link break
Anyway, I think maybe we should continue any further chats on the matrix channel? I'll look into hosting a bridge if you prefer the zulip interface (which I don't )
(I actually do )
I too
Out of curiosity, why do you prefer matrix over zulip?
Hmm, I generally don't like web interfaces. Browsers are too volatile an interface (I just kill a whole window regularly or close tabs or whatever)
I haven't tried the terminal client yet though, I might give that a try
Matrix is a native app which lives on my "chats" workspace (filled with xmpp, irc, signal, telegram and matrix, lol)
Also I guess I have a rather old laptop which can get slow with too many web UIs open (X230)
Well, I haven't been forced to close a tab or so because of a crash or something (except on reddit, fuck reddit).
There's also a native zulip app, you can check it out
I'm not saying that stuff crashes, I'm saying that the way I use a web browser is incompatible with long living tabs
But yea, I should look at the native app
. o O ( really, I want an emacs mode )
Hi! What's the address of this matrix channel?
