Topic: Requesting review of `alloc-wg` crate

Tim Diekmann (Oct 16 2019 at 19:25, on Zulip):

A few minutes ago I released a new version of alloc-wg. This version implements all possible features for Box - A few traits had to be dropped or limited to a Copy bound, as it's not possible in third-party crates.

I would be very happy if someone would take the time to review the Crate (or at least boxed.rs).

Personally, I think we could use the crate as a basis to test different proposals.

I'd be interested in trying to adapt a fork of bumpalo, since I'm the perfect example of a naive user. Does that sound interesting?

Tim Diekmann (Oct 16 2019 at 20:04, on Zulip):

Yeah, absolutely!

Tim Diekmann (Oct 23 2019 at 16:02, on Zulip):

Did you made any progression so far?

Tim Diekmann (Oct 25 2019 at 14:32, on Zulip):

I just updated to v0.5. Now RawVec should be feature complete as well.

Erich Gubler (Oct 29 2019 at 20:10, on Zulip):

Not yet -- haven't found enough time between other commitments and $DAY_JOB yet. I'm hoping to have some time this weekend, where my family will be visiting in-laws.

You're referring to implementation in TimDiekmann/alloc-wg, right?
