Topic: followup on 5/28 meeting

mark-i-m (Jun 03 2019 at 01:14, on Zulip):

Hi, I've just read the meeting transcript from the meeting last week. I wanted to followup a bit on a few items:

I created this doc: https://hackmd.io/s/SysIzeMRE

mark-i-m (Jun 03 2019 at 01:15, on Zulip):

my idea is that whoever wants can add a topic to discuss and at meeting time we can choose one of the TODO items and discuss it

mark-i-m (Jun 03 2019 at 01:15, on Zulip):

thoughts?

@mark-i-m I think the idea is fine and more or less close to how is working for now

Santiago Pastorino (Jun 03 2019 at 17:57, on Zulip):

better to have the hackmd file and you proposed though

Santiago Pastorino (Jun 03 2019 at 17:57, on Zulip):

so :+1:

Santiago Pastorino (Jun 03 2019 at 17:58, on Zulip):

anyway, would be great to know from other participants

Santiago Pastorino (Jun 03 2019 at 18:04, on Zulip):

btw, have updated https://github.com/rust-lang/rustc-guide/issues/319 and added the recent Polonius initialization and move tracking recording

Thank you! Subscribed to this document.

I wonder if it is possible to have a hierarchical document management. For example, individual meeting notes under a parent page so it is easy to keep a track of all the WG-Learning docs on hackmd/paper/etc. I see this meeting notes for example but it is a separate page.

Since we have tracking issue 319, I assume the Paper doc is not needed right?

Amanjeev Sethi (Jun 04 2019 at 12:27, on Zulip):

I had a dream last night that most of the videos on issue 319 have been taken by someone and are done.

Amanjeev Sethi (Jun 04 2019 at 12:28, on Zulip):

FYI, I am in the process of moving countries (having lived in one for many years) so there is some delay in my responses but I am still here.

Currently the minutes are kept here: https://github.com/rust-lang/compiler-team/tree/master/working-groups/learning

mark-i-m (Jun 04 2019 at 23:15, on Zulip):

I personally don't have a strong preference for how to organize them, but it seems that that is the format used by other WGs

mark-i-m (Jun 04 2019 at 23:15, on Zulip):

Yes, I think we are only updating the issue now

Amanjeev Sethi (Jun 04 2019 at 23:18, on Zulip):

Thank you @mark-i-m . I was a bit confused so thought of asking for clarification. Sorry about this. I have not seen other WGs much so if my questions sound stupid, please forgive me.

mark-i-m (Jun 04 2019 at 23:21, on Zulip):

There is nothing to apologize for  It is good for us to be all on the same page
