Topic: pre-meeting 2019-05-14

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 16:17, on Zulip):

@WG-learning remember that in around 3hs we have the sync

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 16:18, on Zulip):

maybe this meeting will be a bit more than a sync

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 16:18, on Zulip):

I've built a tentative agenda which includes a LOT of things to discuss for a 30 minutes meeting

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 16:19, on Zulip):

feel free to add stuff, change stuff, whatever

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 16:19, on Zulip):

I've prioritized the topics, so if we don't have time we won't be able to reach to the end but that's fine

Iñaki Garay (May 14 2019 at 16:24, on Zulip):

Added blog post topic but that will probably require input from Niko as well

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 16:40, on Zulip):

I won't be able to attend tonight, as of a work event. As an update: right now I'm still digging into rustc but I also started working on a "A first glance at rustc" document...will share as soin as it is in a useful state

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 16:44, on Zulip):

It's actually related to tbe work through thing. I want to somehiw cover the whole comoilation process of a simple example (fibonacci for now) and shiw and discuss various intermediary artifacts. But it also shall give an overview of rustc

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 16:45, on Zulip):

Last question: is today the fixed time for the meeting, like weekly, as it's not yet in the calendar? Or mine is just not updated...

Iñaki Garay (May 14 2019 at 16:47, on Zulip):

Last question: is today the fixed time for the meeting, like weekly, as it's not yet in the calendar? Or mine is just not updated...

It is in fact in the calendar, I see it set as every two weeks

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 16:49, on Zulip):

Anyways, if necessary we could meet later or tomorrow or I'll just check the notes and reply accordingly!

Iñaki Garay (May 14 2019 at 16:50, on Zulip):

If this time is inconvenient we can ask @Santiago Pastorino to open a new vote and we'll see about moving it.

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 16:51, on Zulip):

Nah, then it's just me who did not get the info yet - thanks!

lokalmatador (May 14 2019 at 17:12, on Zulip):

And now it's there :+1:

Amanjeev Sethi (May 14 2019 at 17:33, on Zulip):

I will most likely be in the meeting today unless something comes up at work.

For now I am still working through https://github.com/rust-lang/rustc-guide/pull/316. Going to track down answers to some of the questions and a couple of sections I need to write like introduction.

mark-i-m (May 14 2019 at 18:17, on Zulip):

I added an item to discuss the remaining parts of the book that have not been written about

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:21, on Zulip):

I guess it would be important to try to focus on a couple of topics only, this seems to be too much :)

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:22, on Zulip):

@mark-i-m I think the stuff your pointing to is probably one of the most important ones

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:22, on Zulip):

with the walkthrough section

mark-i-m (May 14 2019 at 18:22, on Zulip):

agree... it can be a rolling agenda

mark-i-m (May 14 2019 at 18:22, on Zulip):

we can move things to next meeting as needed, I think

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:23, on Zulip):

yes

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:23, on Zulip):

I've moved your item to the top

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:24, on Zulip):

actually, I've sorted the list again based on what I think are the priorities

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:25, on Zulip):

please check that out because I may be wrong :)

mark-i-m (May 14 2019 at 18:45, on Zulip):

I added a list of missing chapters/parts of chapters

mark-i-m (May 14 2019 at 18:45, on Zulip):

Feel free to update/edit

Santiago Pastorino (May 14 2019 at 18:47, on Zulip):
