Topic: allocs referenced by MemPlace

Alexander Regueiro (Jul 18 2019 at 22:02, on Zulip):

Is there any function/method that gets all the memory allocations referenced (directly or transitively) by a MemPlace? I suppose I could adapt dump_allocs, but it would take a bit of effort...

oli (Jul 19 2019 at 05:13, on Zulip):

No there's no convenience function

oli (Jul 19 2019 at 05:13, on Zulip):

Splitting dump_allocs seems like the right thing to do

RalfJ (Jul 19 2019 at 11:19, on Zulip):

what do you need that information for?

Alexander Regueiro (Jul 19 2019 at 16:40, on Zulip):

@oli thought so, thanks.

@RalfJ crazy hackery I'm doing working on a MIR REPL :-P

RalfJ (Jul 20 2019 at 11:07, on Zulip):

oh my god okay I will stop asking :P

Alexander Regueiro (Jul 20 2019 at 14:29, on Zulip):

haha yeah. I'll link you when I have something fully working, if you're curious (and want to be horrified)... for now very much a WIP, though some important parts already done.
