Topic: meeting time

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:47, on Zulip):

@WG-async-foundations so, since we keep running out of time each meeting

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:49, on Zulip):

I was wondering what people thought of extending the time to, say, 45 minutes

csmoe (Jan 14 2020 at 18:50, on Zulip):

i'm okay with that

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:50, on Zulip):

or maybe we can try and get through triage in the 30 minutes, and schedule another meeting time to cover other topics (like priorities)

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:51, on Zulip):

also, we should probably do regular "deep dives" into technical topics

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:51, on Zulip):

like take a Focus issue each week and really dig into the issues involved

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:51, on Zulip):

the traits WG has been doing this and I think it's quite productive

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:51, on Zulip):

anyway, we might need some combination of all of the above =)

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:53, on Zulip):

my feeling is that for now, we should extend the time to do triage, and use any leftover time to discuss some of these "meta" issues

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:53, on Zulip):

(and finish early if there's nothing left to discuss)

csmoe (Jan 14 2020 at 18:54, on Zulip):

sounds great

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:54, on Zulip):

okay, I guess I'll collect feedback via emoji

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:55, on Zulip):

who would be okay with extending to 45 minutes in the current time slot? ( for yes, for no)

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:56, on Zulip):

we could also consider 60 minutes.. not sure if that's excessive, but it's been 55 minutes since the beginning of our meeting and I'm still talking

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 18:57, on Zulip):

so.. same question, but for 60 minutes? ( / , comments welcome)

csmoe (Jan 14 2020 at 18:58, on Zulip):

i'm okay with time expansion, so +1

tmandry (Jan 14 2020 at 19:02, on Zulip):

going to ping @WG-async-foundations again, please take a look at the two polls above :)

nikomatsakis (Jan 14 2020 at 19:54, on Zulip):
