nikomatsakis (Oct 30 2019 at 14:48, on Zulip):

Hey @Taylor Cramer -- in the async-await beta blog post, I wrote:

I don't see 0.3.0 yet -- is this still the plan?

Taylor Cramer (Oct 30 2019 at 18:33, on Zulip):

Yes, https://github.com/rust-lang-nursery/futures-rs/issues/1893 is the tracking issue

Taylor Cramer (Oct 30 2019 at 21:57, on Zulip):

I'm going to do a triage of the futures-rs repo issue list this afternoon and add things to the 0.3 milestone (https://github.com/rust-lang-nursery/futures-rs/milestone/2) as appropriate

Taylor Cramer (Oct 30 2019 at 21:57, on Zulip):

with a plan to resolve open issues and release at the beginning of next week

Taylor Cramer (Oct 30 2019 at 21:58, on Zulip):

let me know if there are other concerns or folks I should be coordinating with

Taylor Cramer (Nov 06 2019 at 18:29, on Zulip):

0.3.0 has been published. I'll follow up with a blog post announcement soon, perhaps @nikomatsakis wants to coordinate with their async/await announcement?

centril (Nov 06 2019 at 23:29, on Zulip):

@nikomatsakis btw; how is the blog post coming along? The release announcement needs a link :P https://github.com/rust-lang/blog.rust-lang.org/pull/444/files#r342849495

nikomatsakis (Nov 07 2019 at 01:53, on Zulip):

I'm off to bed, I pushed the last few edits; @Pietro Albini had wanted to post them simultaneoudly. I did update the post to mention the 0.3.0 release of futures, @Taylor Cramer

Pietro Albini (Nov 07 2019 at 09:15, on Zulip):

yeah, I'll do some merge magic

centril (Nov 07 2019 at 09:18, on Zulip):

I did some "prediction" of the URL for the async post in the release post

Pietro Albini (Nov 07 2019 at 13:26, on Zulip):

let me rename the file...

Christian Battaglia (Nov 07 2019 at 20:51, on Zulip):

Fantastic work on this release, everyone! I'm jumping into the work with actix to convert to futures 0.3 but I'd love to start being an active member here as well. Curious what the process is for joining this working group?

nikomatsakis (Nov 08 2019 at 11:07, on Zulip):

@Christian Battaglia right now the main thing we are doing is polish -- in which case the process is basically to dive in and fix some bugs. We do have a weekly sync meeting on Tuesdays (see the compiler team calendar) which could be a good place to show up, but we can also chat async.
