nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:19, on Zulip):

Two weeks back we were taking a stab at the Major Changes Proposal RFC

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:19, on Zulip):

resulting in #t-compiler/wg-meta > major change proposal RFC

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:19, on Zulip):

I feel like there were a few other things that came up this morning ...

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:19, on Zulip):

ah, yeah, having some idea who the "owners" are of different things, right? and having groups to ping for platforms and stuff like that

Santiago Pastorino (Mar 19 2020 at 18:20, on Zulip):

hey

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:25, on Zulip):

Hey :)

Santiago Pastorino (Mar 19 2020 at 18:31, on Zulip):

@nikomatsakis what do we have to move forward?

Santiago Pastorino (Mar 19 2020 at 18:31, on Zulip):

sorry but I have been starting always these meetings and seems are still crazy here

Santiago Pastorino (Mar 19 2020 at 18:32, on Zulip):

couldn't see the meeting appointment

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:34, on Zulip):

heh no worries, things are also crazy here, which is why I'm kind of unresponsive

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:34, on Zulip):

sigh, I don't know what needs to be done

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:34, on Zulip):

I think the Motivation could be spelle out a bit,

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:35, on Zulip):

the process might be extended slightly to cover things like "new compiler flags" (as discussed in #t-compiler > proposal: add cryptographic hashes to debuginfo #69718)

nikomatsakis (Mar 19 2020 at 18:35, on Zulip):

and it'd be nice to add a few examples of changes that could've/should've used this in the past
