Topic: Dropbox Paper permissions?

pnkfelix (Mar 20 2019 at 14:36, on Zulip):

Why do random people have the ability to archive our paper docs? Is that just considered yet another edit ?

davidtwco (Mar 20 2019 at 14:38, on Zulip):

That's how I understand it.

Sunjay Varma (Mar 20 2019 at 16:15, on Zulip):

It's because Dropbox paper only has one permission level as far as I know (or at least we've all been given the same one)

Sunjay Varma (Mar 20 2019 at 16:15, on Zulip):

And all documents show up in the same place

Sunjay Varma (Mar 20 2019 at 16:16, on Zulip):

So someone trying to get organized might accidentally archive something thinking that they've only done it for themselves, not everyone

nikomatsakis (Mar 20 2019 at 19:31, on Zulip):

yep, it's annoying

nikomatsakis (Mar 20 2019 at 19:32, on Zulip):

arguably we should switch to google docs but paper is .. so ... nice ..
