So i've been randomly assigned to review https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/69890 -- this is a PR to RISC-V -- honestly, I have no horse in this race. It's a policy decision and I don't care. But I'm not sure (a) who to assign the PR to and (b) who is sort of responsible for making this decision anyway?
I think that before we accept a Tier 2 or Tier 3 platform, we should have designated "owners" -- we should also probably use the same ping mechanism to be able to blast out info to them.
Do we have a kind of issue around figuring a set of useful folks to ping?
I know we've talked about "windows" and linux and other such groups --
it seems like we should be using more such groups for various parts of the compiler too perhaps? not sure.
cc @Josh Triplett for the "tier" part of the above -- are we tracking this tier effort anywhere anymore?
I plan to pick it back up as soon as I get back from vacation. My apologies for not updating the RFC yet.
@Josh Triplett one thing that'd be nice is some kind of tracking location I guess...
