Hello ! Just a quick question, are you planning to make rust-analyzer repository eligible for hacktoberfest ?

matklad (Oct 04 2020 at 19:32, on Zulip):

Not really -- I'll have little time for code review for at least a couple of weeks more :(

Coenen Benjamin (Oct 04 2020 at 19:47, on Zulip):

Oh ok :( I understand ! Thanks for your answer

Laurențiu (Oct 05 2020 at 06:33, on Zulip):

Still, merged/accepted/labelled PRs are still eligible, so it doesn't mean that contributions don't count

Laurențiu (Oct 05 2020 at 06:34, on Zulip):

I'm not sure what accepted means, since IIRC anyone can accept a PR, even if they're not a collaborator

Coenen Benjamin (Oct 05 2020 at 08:06, on Zulip):

Rules have changed a bit https://hacktoberfest.digitalocean.com/hacktoberfest-update

Laurențiu (Oct 05 2020 at 08:23, on Zulip):

Right, sorry. But they're thinking of changing this, e.g. https://github.com/digitalocean/hacktoberfest/issues/609#issuecomment-703177333

Laurențiu (Oct 06 2020 at 11:13, on Zulip):

Maybe we could have a hacktoberfest-accepted label and apply it to PRs filed this month. We had e.g. https://github.com/rust-analyzer/rust-analyzer/pull/6115 was a first contribution and mentioned the event. It shouldn't bring in too much spam since the repository still won't show up in search.

Florian Diebold (Oct 06 2020 at 11:51, on Zulip):

I can add the label, I don't see any reason not to have it

Florian Diebold (Oct 06 2020 at 11:53, on Zulip):

added it

Laurențiu (Oct 06 2020 at 11:55, on Zulip):

Thanks!
