Topic: "A request has failed."

Is it a bug when this error pops up in VS Code?

Lukas Wirth (May 26 2021 at 17:43, on Zulip):

It usually indicates a bug. Is it not saying anything else beside from that exact phrase?

Jonas Schievink [he/him] (May 26 2021 at 17:44, on Zulip):

Normally this is a bug, unless you manually ran the "Restart server" command

ruster (May 26 2021 at 17:46, on Zulip):

It happens with simply '

ruster (May 26 2021 at 17:46, on Zulip):

and then running the analyzer on that. Is that a bug?

Lukas Wirth (May 26 2021 at 18:02, on Zulip):

Can you elaborate what exactly you mean with "it happens with simply '"? Also can you check the server logs to see if there is more context for the given request failure?

Lukas Wirth (May 26 2021 at 18:02, on Zulip):

The server should usually show a panic or something similar

You simply have to write ' into the Rust file, run the analyzer and there's the error

here is all the code you need:

'
Lukas Wirth (May 26 2021 at 19:31, on Zulip):

that doesn't fail any request for me though

Lukas Wirth (May 26 2021 at 19:31, on Zulip):

Can you see what the logs say?
