Topic: disable rustdoc?

gizmondo (May 31 2020 at 21:42, on Zulip):

Is there a way to disable rustdoc compilation? I see a case where (incremental) compilation of the compiler takes 20 seconds, and rustdoc takes another 30. Which seems not ideal considering I don't care about rustdoc at that point...
Or maybe I'm misinterpreting x.py output?

What are you running?

gizmondo (May 31 2020 at 21:51, on Zulip):

build --stage 1 --keep-stage 1 after touching something in rustc_target

simulacrum (May 31 2020 at 21:51, on Zulip):

With no arguments?

simulacrum (May 31 2020 at 21:52, on Zulip):

i.e., you generally want x.py build --stage 1 --keep-stage 1 src/libstd

gizmondo (May 31 2020 at 21:52, on Zulip):

ah I see, let me try that. thanks!

Tshepang Lekhonkhobe (Jun 01 2020 at 03:20, on Zulip):

would that work, given the change is rustc_target

gizmondo (Jun 01 2020 at 08:15, on Zulip):

it does
