Topic: Line 0 in backtrace

Paul Faria (Oct 26 2019 at 21:34, on Zulip):

I'm currently looking at a backtrace, and the critical line is of course 0:

  13: std::panicking::begin_panic
             at /home/pfaria/projects/rust/src/libstd/panicking.rs:402
  14: rustc::ty::<impl rustc::ty::context::TyCtxt>::instance_mir
             at src/librustc/ty/mod.rs:0
  15: rustc_mir::monomorphize::collector::collect_neighbours
             at src/librustc_mir/monomorphize/collector.rs:1254

What causes that, and is there a config I can change to get the line number?

I've seen this a few times recently... I think @nnethercote filed an issue about it, but not confident

IIRC eddyb is looking into it somewhat

I filed https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/65487 recently, may be related
