Hey @WG-traits, perhaps one of you could make a PR updating the README on the compiler-team repo so that it include a section on sprints, and links to the dropbox paper for this sprint? I imagine something like this:
The traits working group is organizing its activity as a series of 6-week sprints. At the start of each sprint, we identify a set of goals and work towards them. During the sprint, we have a \[dropbox paper document\] that lists out the goals. During the weekly triage meeting, we try to update the doc with information on our progress. So if you're curious to know what we're up to right now, check out the doc for our current sprint.
@nikomatsakis do you want to make a new doc for each sprint, and update the link there each time? seems like an easy step to forget
also, will we continue putting meeting minutes in the wg-traits repo?
if we want to make a new doc, we can always link to the next/previous ones from each doc, to make it easier to find if we forget to update the link
@tmandry maybe we should just make a single paper doc that is always the "most recent sprint", and then at the end of each sprint, we can move the contents into the repo
I like using the paper for easy updating during the week
but I think the repo is better for "historical record"
yeah, that works!
Okay WTF Github
I used the browser-based editor to submit a change, double-checked that "Create a new branch for this commit and start a pull request" was selected, and it committed straight to master
Anyway, um, this is done. https://github.com/rust-lang/compiler-team/blob/master/working-groups/traits/README.md
I often just push stuff like this to master anyway ;)
