Topic: broken nightly

nikomatsakis (Feb 13 2019 at 19:12, on Zulip):

BTW, @Igor Matuszewski, @Jonathan Turner mentioned to me that the RLS build has been holding up nightlies for a few days -- do you know what the problem is there?

Laurențiu Nicola (Feb 13 2019 at 19:13, on Zulip):

might be https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/58191

Igor Matuszewski (Feb 13 2019 at 21:55, on Zulip):

Unfortunately update PR for the tools doesn't compile as well, we need to update rustc-ap-* in lockstep again (see https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/58337#issuecomment-463390088)

pnkfelix (Feb 13 2019 at 21:57, on Zulip):

forgive my ignorance: What are the rustc-ap-* crates? What does the "ap" stand for?

Pietro Albini (Feb 13 2019 at 21:58, on Zulip):

autopublish

Pietro Albini (Feb 13 2019 at 21:58, on Zulip):

basically some crates of the compiler automatically published each day to crates.io

nikomatsakis (Feb 14 2019 at 14:43, on Zulip):

@Igor Matuszewski ok -- like @pnkfelix, I don't really know what that means, but are you on top of it? :)

Igor Matuszewski (Feb 14 2019 at 15:01, on Zulip):

Yup, hopefully https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/pull/58337 will be be merged today which should fix the toolstate

Jonathan Turner (Feb 17 2019 at 21:20, on Zulip):

still broken, so maybe that wasn't the issue? (or maybe it's related but not enough to get rls stood back up?)

lqd (Feb 17 2019 at 21:28, on Zulip):

the PR fixing it hasn't landed yet IIRC
