we've open this https://github.com/rust-lang/compiler-team/issues/63 in order to shape a first version of the expert map

Santiago Pastorino (Apr 22 2019 at 19:36, on Zulip):

please everyone, take a look at it and feel free to add more sections that worth having and if you feel you know something about an area add your name next to it

FYI I just used Github to submit a PR to the compiler-team repo, adding myself to the expert map under generators. Instead of submitting a PR (the correct option was definitely checked) it committed directly to master...

tmandry (Jul 31 2019 at 23:42, on Zulip):

I can revert and submit a PR, if anyone cares

tmandry (Jul 31 2019 at 23:43, on Zulip):

This is the second time Github has done this to me, there's a bug when you use the back button before submitting the form =/

tmandry (Jul 31 2019 at 23:45, on Zulip):

Also, I'm not sure what the standards are for an expert, but figure it's best to lean on the side of adding more people

simulacrum (Jul 31 2019 at 23:49, on Zulip):

I think that's totally fine :)

Probably speaks to us not having branch protections enabled, but doesn't really matter that much.

don't worry

Santiago Pastorino (Aug 01 2019 at 04:11, on Zulip):

@tmandry can you also fill the directories attribute?

Santiago Pastorino (Aug 01 2019 at 04:11, on Zulip):

and if you feel like you can fill more parts of the map, help is more than welcome :)

tmandry (Aug 01 2019 at 22:52, on Zulip):

@Santiago Pastorino sure, I guess I can nominate experts in other areas, too :)
