@pnkfelix and I will be doing pre-triage in this channel
first up, nominated unprioritized issues
there are seven of them
@RalfJ is taking care of this issue as they commented on github
we have been tagging P-medium toolstate related issues
@Pietro Albini would miri broken toolstate cause the release to be blocked?
miri isn't shipped on stable, so no
I should have made a bet!
(@Santiago Pastorino and I were debating about this over video chat)
unpri nom 2/7: " cdylib link error after TLS unused -> used transition" #69798
the issue has a first non working nightly identified which is 2020-02-28, although it would be nice to get the first regresed commit or PR using cargo-bisect-rustc
it's uncertain how severe the issue is because it may be another stable to stable regression getting exposed there
triage: P-high, removing nomination
unpri nom 3/7: "ICE in collect_and_partition_mono_items" #69785
related to #57430
triage: P-high until we assess severity (the bug written depends on a feature flag) we want to know if that's really needed for the issue to reproduce.
I-nominated tag because we are not sure if as part of async wg they use the tag for their workflow
unpri nom 4/7: "Using Self::default() instead of TypeAlias::default() causes an ICE on nightly." #54785
this is a very old issue based on an abandoned code base
in an ideal world what we may want to do is to go back to the rustc version where this started to manifest and try to get an MVCE and then try to see if this is still an issue in current rustc versions.
triage: P-low with the intent to close
@centril since you nominated this, would you agree with the above?
unpri nom 5/7: "[nightly] ICE in macros-2.0 heavy crate" #54515
there's no code associated and the reporter doesn't have access to the repo that reproduced the issue anymore
triage: closing as non actionable
unpri nom 6/7: " Compiler panick when linking against static library on windows with static-nobundle" #53881
sa,e as 4/7 very old issue, the reported lost context and is fine with closing it
triage: P-low with the intention to close
unpri nom 7/7: "ICE: can't determine value for sysroot - FreeBSD" #41988
triage: closing as fixed
@Santiago Pastorino Seems reasonable; I nominated these to find out whether we should close
since they are so old and don't have reproducers
(I did a triage of most I-ICE issues recently)
@centril great thanks
Down to 159 ICEs :D
(after removing some specific labels from the pot)
