So, I think the plan is for us to try out our first "planning meeting" this Friday, to schedule the next few discussions. The idea is just to open a new issue on the compiler-team repo with a proposed topic. (There is an issue template)
As of now, we have one proposal for running rustfmt on the repo (from @centril)
I think I had a question regarding the template
Go for it
but I don't remember where I put it
I view this very much as an experiment. So if something doesn't "fit", I'd say feel free to "alter"
(I should also add that, presuming we like how this meeting feels, I'd be happy to find someone else to help organize it, as I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed on this front lately.)
I thought the last bits should be left off as it didn't seem to add info
they seemed to be boilerplate for anyone who is looking at the issue and missing context
as to what these issues are
Possibly :P It wasn't clear to me in either case so if it should be there please clarify the template
I think my intention was to help in clarifying the discussion
Perhaps they could be changed from "sections" to "guidance"
i.e., things to include
I'm talking about "About this issue" and "Comment policy"
Yes, that was the idea
We can just delete them if we want, or re-word. I don't know how to make it clearer.
@centril omitted them and I think he should've kept them
@nikomatsakis maybe where you say "oh and please remove this section" also add "oh and please keep the rest"?
that would have removed my confusion
yes I'll do that
looks good to me
Meeting proposal: Shipping parallel rustc compiler-team#82
