Hi,

There have been a number of discussions on to where should discussions be held (https://internals.rust-lang.org/t/where-should-the-compiler-team-and-perhaps-working-groups-chat/7894 being the most notable one), and every meeting held by @pnkfelix is prefaced by

we could also have a go at running it on zulip
but ... lets not try to adopt new technology at the spur of the moment

Since planning such a test minutes before the actual meeting is not too feasible, let’s kick the things off by planning the trial run now :)

I can try making a step by step guide of some sort and send it to the compiler-team@rlo and we could then attempt holding a meeting here as soon as this or next Thursday. Lemme know if y'all are on-board with this :)

works for me — I'm actually going to be on PTO next week anyway, but I'd be happy to see it happen here

@nagisa One pattern that I think worked really nicely for NLL is having each meeting in a "Meeting yyy-mm-dd" topic because it's easy to catch up on then or look for later on

nikomatsakis (Jul 30 2018 at 11:35, on Zulip):

I think yeah we should make sure to do yyyy-mm-dd :)

for NLL we've been doing things a bit sloppily, but it'd be nice for official compiler meetings to able to "guess" the URL

I sent a mail to everyone on T-compiler yesterday.
