another untagged related to impl Iterator https://github.com/rust-lang/rust/issues/53450
same behavior with and without nll
appears similar to #53528

memoryruins (Aug 31 2018 at 21:24, on Zulip):

ah good, sent to wrong channel :)

memoryruins (Aug 31 2018 at 21:26, on Zulip):

_officially makes it a topic_

Jake Goulding (Aug 31 2018 at 21:48, on Zulip):

Just to double check, this doesn't have anything to do with NLL, right @memoryruins ?

Jake Goulding (Aug 31 2018 at 21:49, on Zulip):

Since they asked about Rust 1.28, which is stable and doesn't have NLL

memoryruins (Aug 31 2018 at 21:56, on Zulip):

due to its familiarity with #53528 (which was another untagged posted an hour ago) and borrow checking in general, may as well post in here
intended to post it next to the otther messages hehe

nikomatsakis (Aug 31 2018 at 21:58, on Zulip):

I think the other impl trait also failed in both but

nikomatsakis (Aug 31 2018 at 21:58, on Zulip):

it may be that we would like to fix this, at least in NLL?

nikomatsakis (Aug 31 2018 at 21:58, on Zulip):

I'd like to look a bit more closely anyway

memoryruins (Aug 31 2018 at 22:06, on Zulip):

I'll note that in the issue ^^

Jake Goulding (Aug 31 2018 at 22:08, on Zulip):

It's interesting that -> impl Iterator<Item = usize> + 'static has no effect
