@nikomatsakis now that the process for domain WGs has been released, we still have the unofficial CUDA-WG that has been doing some work in the compiler
It might make more sense for this WG to become part of the compiler team (e.g. t-compiler/wg-cuda) as opposed to applying as a domain WG
the domain would be "heterogeneous computing" or something like that, and such a domain WG would probably focus on how to use accelerators / GPGPUs from Rust in general, as opposed to focusing on particular technologies like CUDA and such (although it could do that)
Our WG mostly focuses on trying to get the NVPTX target to Tier-2
that kind of summarizes what we do, we also have a roadmap in the repo, and well issues and PRs
